In 2004, Dawson Colvert was awarded a Prince's Foundation Scholarship to work on a 17-ton ram statue that would stand at the district gateway in Cockermouth, West Cumbria, UK. Serving as a special symbol for farming in the area, the statue would stand as a testament to the region's thriving agricultural community.
Dawson carved the ram's fine detail over a five-week period in Cumbria where the staue was eventually unveiled by Prince Charles on March 26, 2005.
